Top 10 Weirdest Versions of Hell

Today, even people of the same religion often have different beliefs about Hell. Does it exist? Is it a literal place of punishment, or just a symbol of spiritual suffering? But those questions are really just the beginning. Throughout history, people have imagined vastly different scenarios for those who didn’t do things quite right during life. Here are just a few:

10. The House of Lies

house of lies
In the ancient Persian religion of Zoroastrianism, souls after death first cross a bridge and meet a young woman who represents the personification of their actions in life. If the dead person has led a good life, she looks beautiful, while to the sinner she is hideous. It doesn’t get better for them, either: sinners are then thrown into the House of Lies, in which the damned continuously eat ‘foul food.’ This includes corpses, rotten food and several rather unpalatable bodily fluids. It’s also dark, smelly, and no matter how crowded it is, its inhabitants think they’re all alone.

Eco-Friendly Recycled Concrete Pipes Hotel

The TuboHotel is an amazing eco-responsible tourist spot made from recycled concrete pipes sheltering 20 rooms. Located in Tepoztlán, Mexico, the Tubo Hotel is inspired by architect Andreas Strauss’ Dasparkhotel – the first hotel made from reclaimed concrete pipes. Overlooking the Sierra del Tepozteco, the eco hotel is made of three volumes of concrete tubes stacked on top of each other, in order to gain as much space as possible. The first three tubocretos modules and the placement plan were done by T3arc, while the construction of the rest of the modules remained in the hands of the hotel’s administration. Part of the trending eco-responsible tourism, the TuboHotel covers 220 square meters and it took 3 months for it to be finished. This hotel is perfect if you’re on a vacation that is focused on visiting and having fun rather than on rest and relaxation.

Underwater pyramids in Japan

A structure thought to be the world's oldest building, nearly twice the age of the great pyramids of Egypt, has been discovered. The rectangular stone ziggurat under the sea off the coast of Japan could be the first evidence of a previously unknown Stone Age civilization, say archeologists.
The monument is 600ft wide and 90ft high and has been dated to at least 8000BC. The oldest pyramid in Egypt, the Step Pyramid at Saqqara, was constructed more than 5,000 years later..

Yonaguni Island is located in western Japan. Yonaguni became famous in the mid 80-x, when divers discovered the mysterious underwater rock terraces and pyramids with sharp corners. Until now, there is debate, but nobody knows what secrets are fraught with the island. Scientists are inclined to believe that these pyramids were created artificially many years ago an unknown civilization that vanished from the face of the earth.
